Question: What types of line noise can be eliminated by a filter?

Answer: Wall filters are great solution for decreasing noise from UPS backups and computer equipment.

Fluorescent, CFL, and LED lighting, while a great idea for your home energy management,  can generate line noise.  An in-line filter is a sure fire means of isolating the TED system if this type of lighting is prevalent throughout your home.

If you are unsure whether or not a filter may be needed, please review  Video 5 - Filters - This video shows when an in-line or plug-in filter may be needed and how to install.

To purchase a wall filter or in-line filter, please view the Accessories Page on our TED Store.
