password problem
« on: June 07, 2017, 04:09:47 PM »
Just starting up with my new TED Pro Home. In the settings wizard, I checked the password boxes and entered a user and password. When I got through the remaining pages and tried to update, it asks for the user and password. But as soon as I start typing the dialog box closes. I assumed the password protection wouldn't go into effect until the update was done on the ECC, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Now I'm locked out. I can't get back in to the Footprints display at all. Is there a default user and password?

If you typed in a username and password when checking the boxes for password protection then that would be the username/password it is asking for when you try to update to save the settings. It does this to make sure you typed them correctly before saving so if it doesn't work for whatever reason then you should be able to go back and change them or uncheck the boxes for password protection to disable it before it is saved to avoid locking you out of the system. If somehow you were able to save the settings with the password settings enabled then the only way to clear it is to do a factory reset to defaults on the device so I will provide a video link below on how to do that.
