MTU not working
« on: December 10, 2012, 12:00:49 AM »
Lightning hit nearby and fried my mtu via the neutral; the main breaker was off. No green flashing led now.
Where can I buy a replacement mtu for TED 1000 or 1001?

If your current MTU has the black and white power cables directly connected to it, then this is the replacement component set you'll need to purchase: http://www.theenergydetective.com/products/store/accessories/addl-measuring-transmitting-unit-mtu-ct.html. In the comments section on your order, please indicate that you need an MTU programmed for the 1001 model.

If your MTU has a detachable power cable with red, white, and black wires, then you can purchase the MTU by itself: http://www.theenergydetective.com/products/store/accessories/measuring-transmitting-unit-mtu-1.html.

jeepster,

Are you still in need of TED 1000/1001 MTUs.  I have some that I no longer need as I switched to a TEd 5000.
