Title: TED5000 App For Sony Dash
Post by: baldbrad on March 31, 2011, 01:46:56 AM
Has anyone considered writing an app for the Sony Dash?  I'd do it, but I don't have a copy of Flash.

http://dash.chumby.com/

It's billed as a "desktop internet player".  I wish it was more configurable / hackable, but it's kind of neat, and useful for looking at the weather or RSS news feed where you don't have a computer.

That is pretty neat.  I haven't looked in depth on what it can do. But I do know there are some open source flash development tools out there...

I would have thought they had a simple web browser but apparently there isn't one i the app list.  That is a pretty neat device..c

Yes, the Dash is based on Chumby's OS, however, the true Chumby devices are fully compatible with all Chumby apps, whereas Sony's Dash is not.
