2 MTU:s on same circuit showing different Watt-readings
« on: December 18, 2011, 06:10:06 PM »
I have a sneaky feeling one of my MTUs are acting up. hooked the clamps to the same wires as my first working MTU measured and I get Voltage reading correct / same as the first MTU but the wattage is completely wrong. First MTU shows apx 8.5kW and the second one only 0.5. The MTUs are connected exactly the same way in the panel. Can there be a signalling conflict of sorts???

Make sure your clamps are completely closed, and that the red dots on the clamps are all facing the same way. Also, check the connector on the wires connecting to the MTU does not have deformed pins.
