How Do We Convert Data Coming From History Reading into KW??

Hi all,

i am getting history data of my TED 5000 but i am getting only 4 fields that are

1.MTU
2.DATE
3.POWER
4.VOLTAGE
5.COST

if i want to show the power use in a day in KW then how would i convert it as i am using formula (Voltage*power)/1000 but i do not have "Power Factor" how do i get it???

  and one more thing that History data only gives me data for just past 4 to 5 days while the device is installed for more then a month

The POWER item is in watts, already power factor corrected. Simply divide by 1000 to get KW.

There are four different history files. If you get the dailyhistory.xml file, you will get the totals for each day reaching back a long ways. You can control the amount of data you get by specifying the COUNT parameter.

/history/hourlyhistory.xml
/history/dailyhistory.xml

I believe you are confused about the units WATTS and WATT-HOURS. The watt is a measure of power and watt-hours is a measure of energy. A gallon of gasoline is indirectly a measure of the energy in a gallon of gasoline. How fast you use the gasoline is a measure of the power of what is using the gasoline.

If you do not understand this, then ask questions about the basics.

If you simply collected power every second and post processed this data, then you could get energy consumption over any period of time you chose.
