Measuring 220V power use
« on: May 18, 2011, 05:08:21 AM »
Hi, I am looking to monitor the electricity use of electric clothes dryers in the US, which use dual power cables to get 220V voltage. Are any of the TED products capable of monitoring the power use of these devices?

You can use any of our models to measure an individual circuit. In the case of a 220V load, like a dryer, you can just place the CTs (current transformers) around the lines going into the breaker of the appliance you'd like to measure. TED will report the measurements for the power feeding that circuit only.
